WELCOME TO COLORVILLE

We want to show you how, with paint, you can connect with the world around you in surprising ways. You will create little stories that make you smile when you remember where they came from. Choosing colors should be fun not a faux earnest endurance.

Our process is part colorcard part lookbook.

You don’t need someones staged and heavily enhanced photo of a room to choose a color. Use your imagination not anyone else’s.

Colorville is an inspirational  guide to help you realise great results. These pallets bring warmth, beauty, and a sumptuous ease that blend bold colors with evocative story telling.

There are 104 iconic colors showcased in their own right and ever changing guest colors to help make your home look paradoxically effortless.

MANIFESTO

Colour is everywhere.

’Neutral’ is only a colour scheme in the mind of a real estate agent. ‘Regency’ colour won’t turn your suburban semi into Mansfield Park.

'Good taste' = no taste

You’ll get more inspiration from a vegetable stall than a swatch book. Taste is liberated instinct, so trust your first response.

Choose the colour you like. Maybe the colour you’re looking for is two colours. Colour is never seen in isolation.

Paint a room the colours of the sleeve of an LP you haven’t heard for ages. Or ever.

Beware of anyone with a manifesto.

When it comes to colour, don’t listen to anyone. Including us. Purge the world of sappy credulousness. Boldness is a  personal measure. It doesn't mean bright or startling.

Be bold.

And ban white window frames.

Collection: Holiday retreat at the alpine lodge

The alpine colors are an abstract masterpiece. Snow like fresh paper, pine green deep and steady as a long-held breath. The sky was a blue so clear it felt like forgiveness, and the wooden chalet glowed like warm honey. And the only true counter point the only true vivid color is the vulgar scarlet of a geranium, shrieking from a window box with the desperate, lipsticked bravado of a cabaret singer in a cathedral. A glorious, tasteless act of rebellion against all that sublime “good taste”.

Collection: Zazie dans le Métro

The colors burst forth like a Parisian clown car, vivid, unapologetic, and slightly deranged as if God had spilled a dame blanche down le metro escalator and then thought, let’s just call it art.
